1020 cases in Just 10 days of August month
In the month of Aug-20, Unlock 3 announced, and in Just 10 days 1020 cases of Covid19 are registered out of 9312 tests done in Vadodara city which is almost 11 % of test done during this month. During unlock, 2 in July month total of 2386 cases registered. As suggested by the chief minister Vijay Rupani, VMC has increased the testing in the city we might see an increase to 1500 per day in the near future.
As per our OSD Vinod Rao, we have 4208 total COVID beds available in Vadodara, and out of that 1961 beds are vacant. we also have around 520 patients from outside Vadodara district in our hospitals and we almost have around 46% of our COVID beds vacant in the city.
As of date in Vadodara total of 4379 patients recovered and 111 death out of 5686 cases and active cases are 1196. However, the numbers of death are questionable as the actual number are more than 300 but the number of registered is just 111. Even the death audit is taking the time and the actual death of today registered after a few days. VMC needs to improve the process and act faster in audit and also provide accurate numbers.
As per Yesterday’s report total of 2378 people are quarantined at home and as per the report, those are the people who are in comes in contact with COVID19 patients.
