400 Blankets distributed to the needy in this chilling cold
The Art of Living Foundation working with the vision of Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar is not just teaching Yoga, Pranayam, and Meditation, but also serving the country & the society. The teachers & volunteers of the Art of Living carry out various service initiatives and one such initiative was taken up by the Youths of Art of Living Vadodara Chapter.
The Art of Living Vadodara youths distributed more than 400 blankets to the needy who are sleeping on the roadside and those who have no proper shelter to protect themselves from the chilling weather. In view of the Corona pandemic and the current curfew situation in the city, Art of Living faculty Mr. Jitendra Khimlani along with 5 volunteers carried out the blanket donation drive before 10 pm in different areas of Vadodara such as Sardar Estate, Waghodia Road, and Alkapuri.
It is worth mentioning that this Blanket Distribution Drive is being done by this group of youths for 6 consecutive years now. Each year more than 50 youths join the initiative but this year for the purpose of following social distancing norms this task was executed by Mr. Jitendra Khimlani and 5 volunteers only.
